Where do you go to school?

Last week D had his six year old well check at the doctor's office. Since I knew we'd be gone most of the morning at the appointment, I brought along some school work for D to do while waiting. He opted to finish the work in the car on the way to the doctor's office.

When the nurse asked D where he went to school, he informed her that he was homeschooled. Then, very softly so that just I heard he also added, and carschooled!

Very clever little man!

One smart boy

Yesterday D had his first soccer practice of the season. Apparently one boy was trying to bully him. Here's how the conversation went:
Boy: I can push you down.
D: I do Tae Kwon Do.
Boy: Me too.
D: What color belt are you?
Boy: I don't have a belt!

BUSTED!!

Bike Riding

We are loving this weather WITHOUT RAIN!!! We worked in the yard, went to the zoo, and rode bikes.
E is getting good on her two-wheeler.
D was given this totally cool bike and he just loves it. He continually leaves us in his dirt!
L is also getting more into bike riding. She can go fast.
Our new house is perfect for bike riding. We can go to the street behind us which has two cul-de-sacs and only 3 houses. We just go up and down!
E doesn't last as long as the bigger kids so then I get out my bike and the bike trailer. It gives me a chance to ride as well, which I really enjoy!
And E LOVES the bike trailer!

Rain, rain and more rain

It has been raining for days...literally!!!
So we let the girls out in the water to be silly,
entertain each other
and just get out of the house.

Midnight and Lily

The two things D wanted in our new house were stairs and a dog. It seems to be that he's getting his wishes. Despite my desire for a one-story home, we did purchase one with stairs. And it seems that we now have, not a dog, but two cats. Let me clarify, they adopted us, not the other way around.
Midnight hangs around all day, despite no encouragement on our part.
Lily seems to have taken a liking to the kids' play house. I must admit that these cats have provided much entertainment for us, including myself. I find that while washing dishes, I watch out the window to see where the cats are. And I don't even like cats!

First Day of School for L

In the midst of the craziest week of our lives, L started back to preschool.
She now stays until 2:30 so she takes her lunch and a nap mat. The best part of her first day..."sleeping" on her nap mat!
Of course, everyone had to pose in front of the new house.

Mommy even got in a picture because Papi was home from work (since we were still moving) and he was able to go with us to take L to school.
In fact, Papi walked L into her class.
E was feeling especially photogenic today!
While L was in school, D and E had their third "cousin day" in a row. Our other cousins came over and entertained my kiddos.
D shows off his OWN ROOM after he and his cousin got everything situated.

MOVING...at last!

The day finally came for us to move. We did hire some movers as we could not do it on our own. They were worth every penny!
All this and more was put on that truck...
while the kids stayed entertained with their cousins.
The girls loved playing baby dolls together.
The boys just chilled.
Then lunch was served outside.
