Dance Camp

Last week L participated in dance camp. For five days she did jazz, ballet and tap along with a craft. She really enjoyed herself.
This was her first dance experience and overall, she had a good time.
The last day the students performed for the parents.
L did not participate in the performance.
This is her group getting ready to do tap.

First trip to Austin this summer

Our first trip to Austin this summer had a special surprise. Some of our cousins showed up and we had a blast with them.
E floats in the pool with her cousin taking great care of her.
D shares a laugh with his grandpa!
We made it to the neighborhood park.
The kids made sure they played on everything!
This picture was grandma's idea..too cute!
Then they started dancing...
and posing...
and posing some more!
Grandpa spent time with each child working on a project. Here he's hammering with L.
E hammers with all her might.
We spent lots of time playing in the basement.
And of course the hot tub...
E jumps.

D shows off.
L gets some height on her jump.

L's last day of preschool

So hard to believe that L has completed two years of preschool and is ready for kindergarten!! Here she is at her end of year party.
She even received a diploma for completing preschool. She had wonderful teachers who took good card of her.
L refused to pose between her teachers so this was the best I could get.
Playing bingo at the party.
My three kiddos
posing after the party
before we head home!
(I love this picture of them all together!)

No training wheels

We took off L's training wheels on her bike so she could learn to ride a two wheeler. We have been talking about this for some time now so she was more than ready.
At first P kept a close eye on her to keep her from crashing.
He even reviewed the most important rule...Look where you are going!
L got back on the bike
And started going and soon...
She was headed down the street all by herself! We are so proud of her!

Easter Weekend

We had a full and eventful Easter weekend!! We have done our best to prepare all week for the greatest celebration we know of as Christ followers. So, each day we read in the Bible about Jesus's last week on earth. Then when the weekend hit, we did some more secular, traditional, fun activities.
We attended OPERATION EGG DROP this year for the first time. The boys got to participate in a karate demonstration at the church where they train so aferwards we stayed to enjoy their activities which included a HELICOPTER dropping CANDY on an EGG-FILLED field. Very impressive.
It was fun being part of such a big egg hunt.

Showing off their loot!
The kids got to ride ponies....
Such a fun time!!
After we got home and had "quiet room time" to recover from the festivities, we tried working in the yard. We are always playing in the yard so it's really hard to do things such a weed and feed, water, etc. We did our best and the kids joined right in!
It was in the mid-seventies and mainly cloudy, our kids were fully dressed and completely soaked!!
Easter Day!!!
We had to sneak in a family picture before we ran off to church, trying to beat the crowd. Unfortunately, in our hurry, we didn't realize that we look more like the leaning tower of Pisa than a family ready to celebrate Christ's Resurrection!!
