Summer Vacation

We had a great vacation in Austin. We were there five full days, time for fun in the sun!!
We always spend time looking for the best rocks to throw into the lake. L is carefully choosing.
We spent lots of time swimming in the lake. Part of the fun was jumping off the dock.
D jumps...
and lands!
Many "wars" were fought on the mats.
E could stand up!
D built a marina for his boats.
The girls relax at the water's edge.
More water fun!
Grandpa took us on a hike for something different. We all enjoyed it and are looking forward to the next hike.
E wore her glasses most of the hike! Not sure what's up with L in this picture.
Grandpa led the way.
Rosales family at the trail head.
These are actually walking sticks. Yes, I know, hard to believe!
Looking for the lake from up on the mountain.
Then, of course, we had pool time.
The two big kids hang on grandpa.
Papi sends E flying.
L looks graceful even doing the "helicopter"
D perfects the "helicopter"

Sisters! Best Friends!

The girls were so excited to get hair cuts this week.
These girls are getting so close. They are playing together so well these days.
Definitely best friends!
L is always ready to pose, especially if her hair has just been styled.
Silly girls

Soccer Camp

E decided that she wanted to attend soccer camp this year. She did so well and had such a fun time. She was so excited that the whole weekend before she would not take off her shin guards.
She learned skills, played games,
scrimaged,
played one on one. It was a great week for her!
D also got to attend soccer camp. He learned so much, made friends and had fun! He's the kiddo in the orange shirt with the ball in the middle.
D is first in line to head the ball into the trash can.

Happy 4th of July!

We had a great 4th of July!!!
This year we all had matching t-shirts which was very fun!

E, my 3 year old
L, my 5 year old
D, my almost 7 year old
We have a tradition of celebrating with grandma and grandpa every year. We go to two parades and get a big bag of candy! We always take pictures by this tree (above).
Walking to the first parade
This picture is priceless!
Waiting for the parade...

We take pics when we wait for parades to start.
D hangs out with the son of mommy's good friend from college. We only see our friends once or twice a year but the two boys, only 2 months apart in age, always have a blast together!
E with a very heavy bag of candy!
Very handsome man we found along the way who had the same shirt so we picked him up!
After the two parades we celebrate with grandma and grandpa's neighborhood.
Balloons...
Snow cones...
face painting...

and even a hot dog lunch!

Father's Day!

Due to the nature of the gift, Father's Day came a day early in our home.
Good thing about a big gift...each child gets his/her own side to decorate!
Since the gift was a grill, we needed Saturday to put the gril together so we could grill some yummy steaks on Sunday.
THE GRILL MASTER!

Amazing Grace Race

For the second year in a row, I got to do the Amazing Grace Race. This race is a blast. My friend and I were a two-woman team and we started the race with a one mile run and then went on to do 10 different stations including cargo ropes, archery, zip line, moving M&M's with a straw, obstacle course on a big blow up and several more.
Being first place winners in our category, we won a chicken!
Yes, I am kissing my chicken as requested by my husband, the photographer who threatened to quit his "job" if I didn't kiss the chicken.
Of course, the kids had to get in on the chicken action!

Craft Day

Every Thursday is craft day this summer!
Our first craft was tissue paper bowls.
Good, messy fun
Ooey, gooey!
Our second craft was a Home Depot project in Austin with grandpa. Then our third craft was decorating sun visors which was great because the kids could actually use their craft!
