My 3 Monkeys enjoying the weather

After 16 degree temps and ice last week, we have been loving this 70 degree weather we are currently experiencing. The kids grabbed their sunglasses and short-sleeve shirts and headed outside for some sun and fun!

Valentine's Day

Although D thought Valentine's Day should indicate a day off from school, we continued with our "normal" schedule. We did, however, have a little gift for the kids once school was over.
Here they are waiting to open their gift
D actually decided to wait until Papi got home to open his gift, but the girls had no qualms about opening their gifts without Papi.
Ready to go....
Oooooh....look....
"Yep, just what I thought."
D actually knew what he was getting. I had left my receipt on the counter a few days ago, not thinking about it as it was a long receipt with many items listed. About 2/3 of the way down, it listed Nerf Darts. Well, my son who reads everything (and I mean literally everything) read my receipt and asked me about the nerf darts. I tried to evade the questions, but he was too smart and had it all figured out.
Thankfully, he was still pleased with the gift.
And the girls were completely thrilled!

Party Time!

We enjoy home schooling and wouldn't do things any other way right now, but I do also love the experiences my children have in the more "traditional" school settings such as Valentine Parties! E got to have a Valentine Party at her preschool today. She was so excited. I got to be there to share in the fun!
Ready for some treats...
E sits at the table with some of her friends. She adores Audrey, the girl in white.
E shows me her Valentine bag...
and all the goodies inside.

Let it snow!

We finally got our snow in Texas!!!
Midnight before the snow was marred by footprints
Our backyard covered in snow
Ready to play (it's super bright which explains the squinting)
We had great intentions of "sledding"
The snow was so powdery, we actually slid more on the cardboard than the snow. Here is L...
There goes D....
Last but not least, E...

Merry Christmas!!

Christmas morning began with stockings
Then the Christmas story and Jesus' birthday cake.
Breakfast and getting dressed had to take place before we could open gifts. Finally we are ready to continue the festivities.
L made a bead necklace for her daddy.
The kids had a gift for grandma
and grandpa.
E is trying to catch her Zhu Zhu pet.
Each child got one and also an outfit and a vehicle.
It's pretty fun chasing them around the room and watching the pets drive their vehicles.

Christmas Eve

We got dressed up for the Christmas Eve and just had to take pictures!

The Family
Our traditional dinner of fondue

Another Birthday

38 Years Old!!!

Cinnamon Rolls and gifts...a complete birthday!
All the kids got to choose what to give their daddy for his birthday.
L chose underwear and thought it was just hilarious!
E was so proud to give her daddy coke.
D got a headlamp for his daddy.
And mommy gave him a GPS.
