Camping

While daddy traveled to the UK for business, we went camping with grandma and grandpa.
Our site was on this great hill that the kids could ride their bikes down at neck-breaking speed!!

Grandma and grandpa didn't participate in the downhill races, but they did ride through the park with us!
 D brought his castor board.
 E had her skateboard.
We had two legged wobbly visitors.
The kiddos would often go in the tent to play with "new" toys, compliments of their cousins who had outgrown them.
 You can't camp without s'mores!

 Mmmmmmm
Somebody always had dish duty with grandpa.
Grandma was a great entertainer.  Here she's playing Uno.
 We got to fly kites!

 We even had reading time.
And got to take bluebonnet pictures as the field right next to our campsite was full of bluebonnets.

Every day we rode our bikes to the park.  Some days we played on the equipment. Other days we played tag.
And on the last day, grandma and the kids got in the sand and found many treasures!

After our fun at the park, we'd ride our bikes back to the campsite.

Fun at the park

During Spring Break, we made sure to have fun!  One day we went to a super fun park, complete with all sorts of paths wandering through the woods.  A perfect place to search for bugs,
run up and down the hills,
 be crazy,
 catch interesting creatures,

 pose in the bluebonnets,
 sit pretty,
be coerced into getting your picture taken,
 pose some more,
 and more,
 and find some cool lizards!
What a great adventure!

Spring Sports

D has been playing Upward Basketball.
When D's team is home, they call out eat player's name and then run to center court.
He's had great coaches and has improved so much!

After each game, each player is recognized for something...defense, offense, Christ-likeness, Good sportsmanship or great effort.
E has started her soccer career.  She has begged us for months to play on a real team. She is officially on a "real team"...Team USA!
She did so well at her first game.

Even when taking a break, she was still ready to get back in the game.
Below is E playing...She's #9.
D is #15...he's playing bball below.
