Second Half of Summer

Hard to believe summer is over! Here's a summary of the second half of our summer. It was great!!
D attended a soccer camp (thankfully indoors) and had a great time.
Part of the camp included a "World Cup" and D chose to represent Argentina. He made a flag to support his team for the playoffs.
I am so proud of my kiddos! They all did the knee board behind Grandpa's boat. They even attempted to ski. In fact, L was just about up and D got up his very first attempt.

First Half of Summer

We've been having a great summer and I haven't taken any time to keep the blog up to date on the fun. The truth is that our summer has been fairly low key with lots of reading and playing. It's just as I like it. However, I will admit that we've thrown some picture-worthy activities into the mix. So, here's the first half of summer in pics...

Fourth of July in Austin...a tradition!!
Waiting for the 2nd parade...we always do two!

Below was the first parade and, of course, Grandma and Grandpa were there for the fun and to help us collect all the candy!

The parade brought not only bags full of candy but crazy sunglasses and fun lays as well!

The Fourth wouldn't be complete without grandma and grandpa!

We also had pool time...

and boat time.

The lake is super low due to no rain, but we still had tons of fun!

E is our crazy jet ski driver.

The kids even "rode" the jetski when it was dry-docked.

L "drove", E kept sight of their knee boarder and D "rode" with style.

Before Austin, the girls went to dance camp and D did a sports camp.

E does tap (above) and ballet (below). L chose not to perform, but she did participate in camp.

D had tons of fun at sports camp. He was doing a little warm-up before heading off for the first day.

Before dance camp, sports camp and a week of VBS, we went to the beach.

Catching Up on April

L had her first dance recital.

Tears at first
Next dance, she just stood but no tears.

In the finale she participated with her class. We were so proud of her.

Getting awards at the end of the recital...

Hugging her teacher!

We welcomed Abueltia (my mother-in-law) into our home for a month. The kids and I took her to the Stockyards.

We went to see the Cattle Drive...this was it! Maybe 6 longhorns and they called it a "cattle drive."

We watched part of a show on the history of cattle drives.

The day was perfect for walking around so we were glad we got to go!

Easter Egg decorating...

Final Products!

And to top it off, this year they actually ate the hard boiled eggs!! Definitely a bonus!

Easter Pictures!

Abuelita with the kiddos!

So windy...hard to take good photos when wearing a skirt on a windy day.
